Congratulations, Mid-Coast Forecaster, on your loving Jan. 25 issue. By the time I’d read your lead story about kitten yoga, and your three editorials about love trumping hate, women and children trumping men as political leaders, and real-life interactions trumping virtual ones, I had tears on my cheeks, tears of gratitude for these expressions of love being the only force that can get our world out of the mess we’re in. Also gratitude for living in Brunswick, and in Maine, where many know and act on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s words “Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” Thanks, all. We’re on the right track.
