Most successful business owners have had setbacks in their careers. The proof of a successful career is one’s ability to bounce back from tough times.

Not only has Les Otten helped create many hundreds of jobs in the Bethel area, but most of these jobs still exist. Otten is still creating jobs in Maine through his role in renewable energy (wood pellets).

It is true that Otten is more of an entrepeneur than a staid corporate executive. Yet, Maine needs a leader as governor who has the foresight to develop the resources of this state. We don’t need another bureaucratic administrator, like most past Maine governors.

Your recent article was more of a hatchet job than a fair and balanced evaluation of his ventures. Readers expect more of The Forecaster.
