I respectfully question why the Falmouth School Board finds it necessary to line another consultant’s pockets with our money and then embark on a long and costly search process for a new School Superintendent. Doesn’t our School Department have a succession program where each level of supervision is prepared to move up in the event of a vacancy? Any well-run business has such a system and I don’t know why this doesn’t apply to a public operation. It will be months before we have a new superintendent in place and then more time before our local needs are familiarized. Waste upon waste and we taxpayers continue to bear the burden.
