As the upcoming municipal elections in Falmouth draw near, I wanted to take a moment to write my fellow citizens regarding my candidacy for the School Board. As someone who has been raised in Falmouth and who resides here, I recognize the importance of our education system. As a former student representative, I dedicated myself to the advocacy of our community’s students. I look forward to serving not only them, but also all Falmouth citizens.

My goals are simple yet critical in light of the present socioeconomic situation our town faces. We must establish a reasonable relationship between our schools and our town such that all parties are served in an equitable fashion. We must focus our efforts towards preparing our youngest citizens to be more than “college candidates.” We must work to help them become capable and productive members of society who are prepared for adulthood. We must combat current childhood health issues actively and aggressively. Furthermore we must work to reduce waste, evaluate curriculum and develop a long-term plan that protects taxpayer interests while also allowing for investment in education.

If elected I will strive to work with my constituents, to bring open discussion and transparency to the process. In doing so, together, as a community, we can once again establish a partnership which serves to promote the best interest of our town while enhancing the lives of our most precious resource, our community’s children.
