I am writing in support of Steve Moriarty, Democratic candidate in Maine House of Representatives District 108, comprising Cumberland, part of North Yarmouth, Chebeague Island and Long Island. Steve is a native Mainer, a graduate of Bowdoin College, the University of Maine School of Law and a U.S. Army veteran. A 29-year resident of Cumberland, Steve has given much to the community. As a 20-year member of the Cumberland Town Council he has served on many committees and in 2008 was voted Cumberland/North Yarmouth Lions Club Citizen of the year.
Having served with Steve on committees and observed his contributions to Town Council decisions, I have found Steve to be a thoughtful consensus builder able to present well-crafted arguments in an effort to bring fairness to final decisions. He will bring these skills to his responsibilities in the Maine House. Please join me in voting for him in November.
