Too often we as voters are apathetic and pay too little attention to the qualifications of legislative candidates who will make key decisions that affect us all. Two key areas that should concern us all are financial and social issues. Our legislators need to be responsible stewards of our scarce tax dollars, and reflect social needs and values of those whom they represent. Republican Cathy Manchester is uniquely qualified and will meet both of these needs as state senator representing District 25.
Cathy has an enviable record over three decades in public service including EMS, volunteer firefighter, public safety and town council. She also has been a very successful businesswoman while running a real estate business for 18 years. We desperately need more common sense and fiscal responsibility in Augusta. Cathy Manchester is a fiscal conservative and a social moderate, and we need her in Augusta.
