We the voters of Cumberland, Chebeague, Long Island, and part of North Yarmouth have the opportunity to elect Steve Moriarty as our next state representative. Steve takes every issue as it comes, weighs the pros and cons, and considers the intended consequences before making a thoughtful decision.
I first met Steve Moriarty back in the 1980s. Open space was vanishing as more land was developed. Steve, a member of the Cumberland Conservation Commission, looked for positive solutions and was instrumental in the founding of the local land trust that has preserved more than 600 acres of land, including the Rines Forest.
Based on my years of working with Steve Moriarty on the Cumberland Town Council, I know that Steve Moriarty listens to all sides of issues and will build bridges in Augusta that will strengthen our towns and the state as a whole. Augusta needs more representatives like Steve Moriarty.
