The town of Falmouth has come together over the last three years to support a community supper in the fall, held by the churches in town to help support the Falmouth Food Pantry. This year on Oct. 20 we will again be holding a free community supper in support of our food pantry. Our goal this year is to raise 80 percent of the food pantry’s budget for 2012. This is one endeavor all citizens of Falmouth can unite around to help families in our community survive the day-to-day challenges of securing food and in some cases fuel for their families. The food pantry helps over 245 families on an annual basis and is one of the few organizations where every dollar contributed goes to direct services, as all those involved are volunteers.

Please mark your calendar for Thursday, Oct. 20, from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Falmouth Congregational Church (next to the Town Hall). Elections are over and it is time to unite and look to our future as a vibrant community continuing to share our resources and talents for the betterment of the town of Falmouth.
