I am writing in support of the Falmouth Memorial Library expansion project. Falmouth has among the best schools in the state, wonderful athletic fields, modern hockey rinks, parks and open space. But while these facilities are used by specific pockets of our population, our library appeals to and is used by a wide array of our residents: young, old, and everyone in between. The library promotes and inspires learning, education and discovery, reading and researching, and is used daily as a meeting space for many local organizations and programs. What could be more important than expanding and updating a space that allows our neighbors and all of our citizens to have greater access to all of these things? Our library is among the most utilized in the state and it is in need of expansion and updating. I am proud to support this project for the benefit of our current and future residents.
