I coached in Falmouth Little League for many fun years. One of the things that parents and younger siblings of players always appreciated was the ability to come by one of those long games, watch an inning or two, and then walk over to the library and check out some books, look through the display cases, stop on the way back for a climb on the adjacent playground and get back to the game just in time to watch the last out. If there is one thing, outside of our school campus, that makes our community feel like it has a center, it is the walking-distance proximity of the library to our baseball fields, a slice of pizza, and a decent cup of coffee. If we can keep our library in its current location with intelligent architectural design it makes complete sense to me.
