It is time for North Yarmouth to come together as a community. It is time to leave nastiness and vitriol behind in the wake of the Village Center vote. Unfortunately, the vote became, for many, a personal vendetta rather than an honest disagreement. I have been the victim of politics of personal destruction by some in our community. It is time to leave that type of behavior in the past and move forward in a spirit of cooperation not division.
Recently, the annual Chicken Pie Supper was held at the North Yarmouth Congregational Church. Nothing personifies community and togetherness more than our annual dinner. From the cooks, the servers, the parking attendants to the patrons, we work and celebrate together. That’s North Yarmouth, that’s our town. Let’s not get stuck in negativity and pessimism. Let’s move into this upcoming holiday season with a thankfulness that we live in a great community and a belief in a bright future in North Yarmouth.
