We are fortunate that Republican Bart Ladd has decided to run for state Senate District 25. Bart has a unique background that will serve Maine well, as a mechanical engineer, a U.S. Air Force pilot, an international captain for Delta Air Lines, and 12 years legislative experience as a state representative and state senator in Georgia in the 1990s. Collaboration is important to me and Bart has a history of working with both sides of the aisle to enact significant legislation that supported businesses, the environment, schools and lowered property taxes. He worked hard for his constituents and represented them well with his independent voice. With his proven record of working across the aisle, he will bring a breath of civility to Augusta.
