I am supporting Republican Bart Ladd for state Senate in District 25. Bart has a unique background which I feel will serve Maine well – mechanical engineer, Air Force pilot, and international captain for Delta Airlines. Bart served 12 years as a state representative and a state senator in Georgia prior to moving to Falmouth. In that capacity, he led the legislative fight to solve Atlanta’s massive air pollution problem. Bart has a history of working with Democrats to enact significant legislation that cut taxes, closed health insurance loopholes and protected animals from mistreatment. Bart created Georgia’s Homestead Option Sales Tax, which cut homeowner property tax by 40 percent while fully funding schools and local government. Bart Ladd will bring a breath of fresh air to Augusta.
