I moved to Falmouth (and Maine) a little over five years ago. Since then I have noticed that there are some people whose names and faces come up all the time as people who are out and about, helping to make this community a better place. One of these people is Amy Kuhn.

When I first heard that Amy was considering running for Town Council, my immediate reaction was, “well, that makes complete sense.” Amy is a connector, a convener, and a collaborator. This was punctuated during her six years on the Falmouth Memorial Library board, laying the groundwork for its successful $5.6 million capital campaign so that the facility, and its mission, are ready for Falmouth’s needs into the 21st century. Thoughtful in community investment and always quick to listen or reach out to fellow neighbors, I believe Amy represents the kind of leadership our community needs.
