I support April Humphrey for Yarmouth Town Council because she will work to support seniors who want to age in place. While many of us are able to afford our property tax bills, for seniors relying on a monthly Social Security check property taxes can make Yarmouth unaffordable. April grew up in poverty and experienced childhood homelessness. She understands what it is like to worry about the roof over her head. April will work hard on the Town Council to find ways to make it easier for seniors to stay in their homes. April supports the STAY program the Town Council passed last year that gives property tax rebates to Yarmouth seniors who qualify. April also supports the development of small-scale, affordable housing for seniors who would like to downsize to a smaller home in town. April will be an advocate for seniors on the Town Council.
