In a recent letter, James Hoy attempted to paint me into a political box and divide our community based on labels. In speaking to many neighbors around South Portland, the concerns I am hearing cut across political views or party affiliation.

Two of the top concerns I hear are the high cost of health care and the need for job opportunities and training. I am committed to working with all of my neighbors and fellow elected officials to address these critically important issues. Our government only works when all voices are heard and we work together toward practical solutions to our common challenges.

After talking to many residents in House District 33, I feel energized and hopeful for the future. Despite our struggles and varied political views, we share many common values. I am extremely proud of South Portland and would be honored to serve you all in Augusta.
