We are writing to express our unqualified support for Bethany Hanley in her run for a position representing Cumberland on the School Administrative District 51 board. When we think of parents who give enormously to the success of SAD 51 and its students, Bethany is the first person to come to mind. Bethany has worked tirelessly and selflessly in her efforts to improve the education for all the children in SAD 51. Bethany has been the chairwoman of the PTO, a member of the School Board Communications Committee for five years and has organized the Poetry Jam, to name only a few of her efforts. In her involvement in school budgeting and policy discussions, Bethany consistently has emphasized decision making based on facts. She is passionate about providing the best education to the children of SAD 51 given the resources available. Bethany will have our enthusiastic votes on June 11.
