With every new election, the bad behavior just seems to get worse and worse. The name calling and spreading of false information are a waste of time and energy and are a shameful way to model to our children.

I’m grateful that a local candidate in District 109 has instead used her time and energy to campaign positively. Over many months, Anne Graham has visited over 1,000 residents of Gray, Pownal and North Yarmouth to ask them personally about their concerns. It seems to me that she’s getting a head start on what all our elected officials are supposed to do: keep in touch with their constituents.

Anne makes it clear that problem solving is a bipartisan effort. She is direct and informed and is attracting voters of all stripes. That’s the kind of candidate for me, because that’s the kind of community I live in: people of all different beliefs working together to make a better Maine.

My vote is for Anne Graham, who will work hard for me as my representative in Augusta.
