I am writing to share my wholehearted endorsement of Anne Graham for House District 109. I first got to know Anne when she was the pediatric nurse for my children’s doctor. Her warmth and sensible approach made her standout as a practitioner and as a person.

Since then, I have come to know Anne as a thoughtful and passionate advocate for working families. Her work on the Early Childhood Task Force and the Advisory Council on Health Systems Development/Dirigo show her dedication to the health and well-being of our communities. As a member of the North Yarmouth Board of Selectmen, she has been fair and thoughtful in all her decisions.

Although I do not want to speak negatively of Anne’s opponent, I would like to point out that Anne’s life experience is another reason she earns my support in this race. She and her husband have raised three boys in the community and they know what it is like to have to balance a mortgage, tax bills, health care and all the other realities of life in 2010. Anne’s position on taxes is one that will bring fairness and equity back into the equation. She understands the needs of our community but has a clear vision for how we can balance that so all our families can be secure in their homes.

Please join me in making the right choice on Nov. 2. Vote for Anne Graham.
