Cape Elizabeth is fortunate for a host of reasons, not the least of which is the collection of exceptional talent ready to devote time and energy to the challenges we face. Frank Governali is just such a person and we were thrilled to learn that he’s willing to contribute his unique talents to the Town Council.

Frank’s background in finance is impressive and will be an enormous asset as we seek creative ways to navigate our way through another difficult budget environment. He’ll work hard to find ways to control property taxes by trimming expenses and seeking new sources of revenue, and he’ll make sure our town receives a fair shake in Augusta. His life-long devotion to public service through organizations like Great Schools Partnership of Maine, Cape Elizabeth Education Foundation and the Cape Elizabeth Parents Association will serve us well.

Above all else, though, Frank will bring his balanced, pragmatic and thoughtful approach to the Town Council at a time when this skill set is an absolute necessity. Anyone who has worked with Frank can attest to his inclusive and consensus-building approach. He seeks constituent input early and applies clarity to the issue at hand with facts and careful analysis – not the wasteful emotion and ideology that leads us in the wrong direction. We have a terrific opportunity to add an individual of impeccable character and talent to our Town Council, so please join us in voting for Frank on Nov. 3.
