I am writing to share my support for Sara Gideon as Democratic candidate in House District 106. Sara has shown her commitment to Freeport by selflessly giving of her time and by encouraging citizens to volunteer their time.
Two years ago, a local organization asked me to join their board. I was initially ready to reject their offer because I felt as if I didn’t have the time, but I sought Sara’s counsel on my decision. She looked me straight in the eye and said, “You have to do this. It’s an honor to be asked and it’s important for everyone to get involved.” She was right, so I accepted the offer.
Sara is dedicated to making our community better and encouraging our citizens to help each other. I respect that. This is why Sara Gideon has my vote.
