On June 12, Pownal and Freeport Democrats have the opportunity to select their candidate for House District 106. I will be voting for Sara Gideon.
Sara has already served the citizens of Pownal and Freeport well as a board member of Freeport Community Services. I have had the pleasure of working with her on that board marshaling limited resources to meet community needs. Sara is consistently thoughtful, energetic, cheerful, well-organized, a leader and a hard worker.
Sara has also generously given her time to serving on the Freeport Town Council. In this role, Sara’s diplomacy when faced with controversial issues has demonstrated her skill in working cooperatively to resolve conflicts, her willingness to listen to all voices, as well as her sense of responsibility for representing constituents.
In short, Sara stands out as the most experienced and best candidate to advocate for our interests in Augusta. Please give Sara your vote.
