I write in support of Melanie Sachs’ candidacy in House District 106. I met Melanie two years ago as both the den leader and the cubmaster of the Freeport/Pownal Cub Scouts. There was no pack at the time, but through a tremendous amount of energy, vision, and leadership, Melanie grew the pack over 500 percent. Melanie’s commitment to families, community, and service was made very apparent by her tireless efforts.
I have been particularly impressed by Melanie’s remarkable energy and spirit. Melanie knows how to get things done, and as someone who has worked for Sen. George Mitchell, and has worked on statewide MaineCare reform, she will know how to be effective in Augusta. I am confident that Melanie will not only be an outstanding Freeport/Pownal representative, but she will be a leader among
Democrats in Augusta. I hope you will join me in supporting Melanie on June 12.
