When we moved to Freeport eight years ago, Sara Gideon became one of our family’s first friends, introducing us to the richness of the Freeport community. As a friend, I admire her deep character: She is generous, passionate, dependable, fair, and committed to her values. Sara knows people. She knows what they can contribute. And her refreshing sense of optimism inspires them to dive in with her.
It was Sara who invited me to serve on the marketing committee of Freeport Community Services, where I saw the quality of her work and her drive to enrich the lives of her neighbors. She is a throwback to a time when people viewed community service as the highest and most honorable vocation. For Sara, it’s a calling. For these reasons, I hope you’ll join me in supporting Sara Gideon as the Democratic candidate for state representative in District 106.
