The enthusiasm for Cathy Breen’s candidacy for state Senate was overwhelming this past weekend at the six-town Democratic caucus in Falmouth.

In addition to that support, five Democratic legislators from the new Senate District 25 – Falmouth, Yarmouth, Cumberland, Gray, Long Island, Chebeague Island, and Ward 5 of Westbrook – have endorsed Cathy over her opponent.

Reps. Steve Moriarty, D-Cumberland; Mark Dion, D-Portland; Mary Nelson, D-Falmouth; Ann Peoples, D-Westbrook, and Anne Graham, D-North Yarmouth, have taken the difficult political step of supporting one candidate in the Democratic Primary on June 10.

They know Cathy Breen is just what Augusta needs.

With her background as a Falmouth Town Councilor for six years, two of them as chairwoman, Cathy understands the importance of keeping property taxes low and improving higher education. She is a strong leader, works well with others, and advocates for Democratic values.

I’m honored to volunteer for her.
