When did it become OK to address the Falmouth Town Council, committee members and staff with such disrespect by writing letters, questioning their integrity, and verbally attacking them at public meetings over and over again, so that we now need a police presence at town meetings? Who are these people that think they are the only ones with the answers? Have they not been taught the importance of respecting their fellow citizens? To listen to them you would think we need to shut the town down until we align policies to meet their needs.

Councilors and committee members all live in this town. They should always be treated with respect. They spend tireless and thankless hours working for the benefit of all who live here. You can respectfully voice your concerns without the toxic environment you create.

My advice to those unhappy citizens: Put down the social media. Take a deep breath, look yourself in the mirror, ask if you would want someone talking to or writing an article about your wife, husband, daughter or son the way you disrespectfully do to others.
