Falmouth and its Town Council are in desperate need of a dose of fiscal responsibility. The council seems to never see a project it wouldn’t fund.

The undesignated fund, much of it from the sale of Plummer-Motz and Lunt schools, has been significantly depleted. And property owners are facing a 4.5 percent tax hike.

The person who can bring the needed fiscal responsibility is John Winslow. John is a fifth-generation resident of Falmouth and attended Falmouth schools, as did his daughter and many of his ancestors. For the last 25 years he’s been a small business contractor; he knows the value of money, and has hands-on experience running a business and meeting a payroll. He’ll bring a large dose of common sense, fiscal responsibility and business acumen to the council and to running our town. Please vote on June 9 and help get John elected to our council.
