I am writing to express my support for the proposal to convert the Lunt and Plummer-Motz campus into a community space, with a possibility for the Falmouth library to expand to the site as well. These beautiful historic buildings would provide a much-needed amenity to our community, in a convenient location. Such an amenity has great potential for increasing property values and providing a tangible sense of community that Falmouth does not currently have. I would be very disappointed to see the land and buildings demolished by a commercial builder.

In recent conversations with Falmouth residents, I have discovered that many have misinformation about the possibilities, or none at all. It would be a magnanimous gesture by the Town Council if these options were presented via a public service campaign, or by offering this option on an election ballot. In doing so, the council would allow residents the opportunity to evaluate the options and voice their preference.
