I have been a resident of Falmouth for nearly 20 years, yet only recently have I started to take a serious interest in my town’s politics. I was busy working, life happens, and for many years I abdicated my right to express my opinion on issues that face our community. But that has changed this year since I have had the opportunity to meet Faith Varney, candidate for Town Council.
She has demonstrated to me a solid understanding of the issues facing our town. She is interested in seeing that our town government works for us in a financially responsible manner. Basic and fundamental services are necessary, and Faith understands that. But she also believes that personal property should not be compromised with restrictive ordinances or taken without proper compensation.
Please invest a few minutes in acquainting yourself with the positions Faith Varney takes on the issues and compare them to her opponents. You owe it to yourself and to the future direction of our community. I hope you will join me and many others in supporting Faith’s candidacy for Town Council.
