Falmouth is fortunate to have an individual as experienced and passionate as Chris Orestis running for Town Council. I am a fiscal conservative with an economics degree and more than 20 years experience as an investment banker. Chris and I share a viewpoint of financially responsible management principles as well as an appreciation for the importance of public education.

I wholeheartedly agree with Chris regarding the economic benefits which accrue Falmouth as a result of the strength of our schools. This is particularly true of the direct impact on property values. It is economically irrational and fiscally irresponsible to submit that firing teachers and slashing millions of dollars from the school budget is a sound plan for maintaining, let alone building upon our excellent reputation. Chris understands this and will not let that happen. His commitment to the schools and financially responsible approach to management is exactly what Falmouth needs.
