As a long-time Falmouth resident and Falmouth Memorial Library patron, as well as a former library trustee, I am writing in support of the town moving forward with the purchase of the adjoining Kowalsky property. The past and present facts were laid out very well in last week’s Forecaster. The purchase of this property allows the library and our town to move forward with sensible plans to expand the library. This purchase would guarantee the Lunt/Depot location, which is the best place for the library, would stay at its present spot for years to come and allow for many common sense efficiencies that will also maintain the character of the library so many generations in this town have come to love.
