My wife and I watched the Falmouth Town Council meeting on Feb. 14 and were very disappointed to see that they are leaning strongly towards moving the library to the Lunt School in addition to creating a Community Center. It looks as though a referendum will be held and will contain a ballot that requires a single, up or down vote on both moves. In other words, a vote for the center will also be a vote for the library and vice versa.

We are dead set against moving the library for several reasons, including future unknowns in e-reading, and will definitely vote against it. Thus, unless the rules are changed, we will be forced to also put a no on the Community Center, which we think has merit.

There is something wrong with this procedure.
