Six years ago, when the Falmouth Food Pantry urgently needed to be relocated  from a small, shared space in a local church, Cathy Breen was chairwoman of the Falmouth Town Council. Her compassionate and practical support was instrumental in the pantry obtaining our current space in the Town Hall’s newly vacated police offices. As a manager of the Falmouth Food Pantry, I consistently witness the ongoing challenges of Maine families who suffer from food insecurity. Cathy’s informed knowledge of the difficulties faced by these struggling families would make her a strong voice for all Maine families. Her understanding that the lack of health care and astronomical medical bills are major contributors to poverty makes Cathy’s support of the expansion of Medicaid a crucial reason to support her run for the state Senate in District 25. I hope others will join me in voting for Cathy Breen in the Democratic primary on June 10.
