High-school student Isabel Agnew and her crew, as well as the contingent from Saint Mary the Virgin Church, deserve our thanks for cleaning up litter recently along Shoreline Drive in Falmouth and Back Cove in Portland.
We all admire the beauty of our coast, but these special people did more than observe – they took the time to pick up debris from rocks and weeds and nurture the environment that makes Maine so alluring.
Thank you for participating in the Coastal Cleanup, a statewide and international event held every year.
I’m proud to have you as my neighbors.
