Once again, the Falmouth Town Council has thumbed its collective nose at the citizens of our town. Literally, at the 11th hour of the May 13 special meeting, the council approved the appointment of Karen Farber to the Long Range Planning Advisory Committee for the next three years. Farber was the council chairwoman on whose watch the town was blessed with our current zoning fiasco. Her crowning statement just prior to voting for the 2016 zoning ordinance was “I hope the citizens are not bothered by all the Sunday noise from new construction.”

Some weeks ago, Farber followed up with an opinion piece in The Forecaster in an attempt to instruct the feeble-minded citizens of Falmouth on how we should appreciate all the opportunities presented by her diligent rezoning efforts. For the few citizens who stayed up late enough to experience the council’s poke in our eye, it was amazing to hear the canned speeches from each councilor in praise of Farber’s efforts, which have nearly destroyed our town. Thank you, Karen, and thank you dedicated council for once more showing your true concerns for the citizens of Falmouth.
