I’m writing in support of Cathy Nichols, Republican candidate for Senate District 25, which includes Falmouth, Yarmouth, Cumberland, Gray, part of Westbrook, Long and Chebeague Islands. Cathy is an active member of our community, including serving on Falmouth’s Recycling and Energy Advisory Team and is a volunteer firefighter with the Falmouth Fire and EMS departments. With a degree in soil science with a focus on water conservation, and a Certificate of Policy Analysis from USM, Cathy has spent more than two decades helping industry comply with environmental and safety regulations, and desires to protect and preserve Maine’s natural resources and outdoor heritage. Cathy’s interests lie in lowering energy costs and supporting more competitive taxes that make Maine an affordable place to live and grow a business.
