Democrat Brownie Carson is running to represent Maine Senate District 24. His track record as executive director of the Natural Resources Council of Maine, as an attorney for Pine Tree Legal Services, and as a platoon leader in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam suggests that he has the vision, experience and courage to be an outstanding senator. His priorities include promoting educational excellence to prepare our young people for the future, supporting small businesses, renewable energy, worker skills needed for our economy, and protecting the environment.
I have had several opportunities for extended conversations with Brownie about the challenges he sees facing Maine. I am convinced he will make important contributions to constructive and effective responses to those challenges. I urge residents of Brunswick, Freeport, Harpswell, North Yarmouth and Pownal to vote for him to ensure that he can help build a better future for all of us.
