We have known Everett “Brownie” Carson since 1978. The moment we met him we knew he was honest, sincere, bright, and gregarious by nature.
We share Brownie’s commitment to Maine’s people, the environment, and the economy. He understands the connection between a strong economy and a healthy natural resource base. But Brownie doesn’t stop there. He also knows Maine’s future depends on a foundation of good education and skill development beyond school. Brownie will work for Maine’s people and their families to ensure everyone has an equal chance to succeed.
Brownie has proved his leadership. Under his direction the Natural Resources Council of Maine became one of the most respected environmental organizations in the nation. He is well respected in Maine’s Legislature and can help bridge the gap of partisan politics. His is the kind of leadership that is critical now.
