Soon the people of Cumberland, Falmouth, Gray, Yarmouth, Chebeague Island, Long Island and part of Westbrook will elect a successor to independent state Sen. Dick Woodbury in District 25. I am supporting Democrat Cathy Breen.
I served with Woodbury in Augusta, and I know what a distinguished senator he has been. And I have known Breen for over a decade. She is poised to continue Woodbury’s legacy.
Like Woodbury, Breen has deep roots here, including exemplary service on the Falmouth Town Council and effective leadership for several community organizations. Breen’s priorities include economic growth through wise investment, protecting our environment, and an education system that will bring out the best in all students.
Breen will represent us with intelligence, compassion and hard work. Please take time to speak with her and learn why she is such a strong candidate. When you do I know you will join me in supporting her.
