I have lived in Falmouth for most of my life. I just had my 90th birthday. I have lived on Depot Road for 55 years.

Most of these later years I have spent defending Depot Road and the recreation fields.

I am writing on behalf of Arthur Fredrickson, a much-respected and loved past commander of American Legion Post 64. Just before he died, in tears he bid me to carry on the fight to protect the American Legion Hall, the ball field and Depot Road.

I do not know where these architects come from who come into town and think they know what we need. Haven’t the townspeople already said no to spending money on the library? How many times must we say no?
