The South Portland City Council wants all of its citizens to vote yes on the high school renovation. They want us to do for them, but they do not want to do for us. Two examples: The public was allowed to speak about the closing of Gorham Road Extension, and everyone that spoke was against the closing. The road was closed.

I believe that everyone who spoke about the BB gun-sling shot issue was against it, and it was passed. In most cases the councilors’ minds are made up before the public speaks. Why should we do for them when they will not do for us?
