The Scarborough Town Council is embarking on a year-long process of developing the next five-year Comprehensive Plan. William Donovan and Marjorie DeSanctis seem well suited to work closely with other counselors on this this important task.
Bill is completing his first term as a Scarborough councilor. He served as liaison to the Energy Committee and in this setting I saw his ability to quickly absorb large amounts of information, adjusting his opinion as justified by facts and data. In his third year, he was elected chairman of the council, a testament to his leadership skills.
Marjorie brings a robust skill set developed through a career developing and managing complex hospital budgets. She also has extensive experience in project management, a process that she has applied in her work as chairwoman of the Scarborough Housing alliance and that will serve Scarborough well in the comprehensive planning process.
