We are fortunate to have two exceptional candidates in the upcoming election for the Falmouth Town Council. Both Barbara DiBiase and Bonny Rodden have been intelligent and dedicated leaders acting at the local level to protect our environment.

Barbara DiBiase was Falmouth’s energy and sustainability coordinator for three years. In that position, she produced an emissions inventory for the town, led the creation of an energy management plan, and was the staff liaison for Falmouth’s recently submitted Green Ribbon Commission report. She has been a big part of putting our town government on a path toward reducing greenhouse gas emissions and saving money in the process.

Bonny Rodden, who is running for re-election, has been a dedicated advocate for two municipal services that make a lot of sense – recycling and mass transit. Ridership on the Flyer has increased every year since 2004, benefiting residents, businesses and the environment. Bonny has also provided effective and practical oversight for Falmouth’s very successful recycling program.

Please join me in voting for Barbara DiBiase and Bonny Rodden for Falmouth Town Council on June 8.
