I would like to take this opportunity to thank the citizens of South Portland for their support, encouragement and kindness during my most recent term on the South Portland City Council. It is only because of the people who live here that I loved to serve. I welcomed every call and every e-mail, trying to find ways where I might help to make a difference. I thank everyone for the calls, e-mails and cards that I have received most recently as well. Your heartfelt appreciation for my efforts and continued support are deeply valued.

While I will miss serving the public in this capacity, I will continue my dedication to the residents of our community. There are many ways to be involved, and I am open to all possibilities. I encourage everyone to do the same.

My initial efforts will be in taking oral histories of seniors and veterans, so if someone is interested, please give a call. I am ready to schedule you in, if you are willing.

As I have said before, my voice is not easy to silence, so I will always work on your behalf; please know that I make a sincere commitment to the residents of this city.
