We want to go on record along with those who have been greatly impacted by Officer John Dalbec’s presence as the school resource officer in School Administrative District 51 (“Groundbreaking Cumberland school resource officer moving on,” June 6). John befriended our son Timothy many years ago when he was a student at Greely and has maintained that friendship to the present day. How appreciative we are to have such a kind, caring person in Tim’s life, who has truly fulfilled his own vision of his work: “At the end of the day it’s about small-town relationships and connecting kids, family and community.”
Thank you John for your presence in our son’s life. We will miss you.
