John Balentine seems to feel that today’s protest issues are not a matter of life and death (“For good reason, today’s protests lack a soundtrack”). Our deportation of people to Haiti, El Salvador and other countries may not be issues of life or death for him perhaps, because he is not faced with deportation. Would he consider police murders of unarmed African Americans not a question of life or death? Would he consider losing Medicaid not a matter of life or death? I guess that is where we differ.
