Gay marriage advocates just don’t get it.! Almost all heterosexuals are trying to be fair about gay rights. And it is a common feeling that gay couples should have the same laws and protection afforded heterosexuals.

However, this should be done through a “civil union” for gay couples. To most heterosexuals this entire argument is about “semantics.” The term “marriage” is traditionally between a man and a woman. If you change the meaning of marriage, then it doesn’t matter what the gender, or what the sexual persuasion (e.g. transvestite) is of the couple. Homosexuality is not the same as heterosexuality. The gay advocates should stop trying to equate the two. Let gay couples have their own “term” for legal companionship.
