Portland has the opportunity to select an individual from a large number of impressive applicants to fill the job of mayor. Not just a ceremonial position, but one of primary importance in emerging from a recession, and building from there. We are optimistic about our future, given the tools we have to achieve unique prominence among the cities of America. Let’s name some: coastal beauty; proximity of recreational facilities; transportation and communications; education; food; financial, legal and medical services, and sports.
Now its time to elect a leader. Like the conductor of a symphony they must be the heart and soul of the community, forgetting politics for the people. Check the list and one name jumps out. That man is Michael Brennan.
