State Sen. Cathy Breen, D-Falmouth, is a tireless advocate for the communities within her district, working diligently to find solutions for local problems.

An example of her hard work and dedication is in regard to Route 26 in Gray. Breen became aware of the challenges the town was facing regarding safety, improvements and upgrades to Route 26. To address these concerns she reached out to Maine Department of Transportation Commissioner David Bernhardt, who came to view the situation, meet with Gray councilors and staff, and advocate for a more immediate response.

The MDOT was a willing participant and has done an excellent job in responding to the many issues on Route 26, and Breen has been a catalyst in moving this issue forward positively.
