State Sen. Cathy Breen, D-Falmouth, will get my vote on Nov. 8.

She has been an advocate for quality education for six years on the Falmouth Town Council and continues that support in the state Senate.

As an educator in the field of deafness, I value the initiative she took to introduce a bill that would allow the Maine Education Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing/Governor Baxter School for the Deaf to raise money for the unmet need of the students and the families they serve statewide. The center had been prohibited by state law to raise private money. Her energy and competence moved her bill through to a successful outcome and into law.

Breen serves our community well. Let’s keep her advocating for District 25 in the state Senate.
